St. Augustine, Florida welcomed a mix of legends and up and coming voices for the inaugural Anastasia Bluegrass Festival last weekend, held at the beautiful St. Augustine Amphitheatre (home of L4LM’s upcoming Fool’s Paradise). From grand statesman Del McCoury and his Family Band and Sam Bush to Americana rising stars Fruition and transcendental folk magicians Elephant Revival, the music was as varied as it was vital. The sunny setting in the middle of winter certainly didn’t hurt the party atmosphere either, as patrons lost their layers and enjoyed the warm ocean breezes.

We’ve put together a video review of exclusive clips from the entire weekend with some tasty jams for you. There are some incredible originals from bands like The Broomestix, Taylor Martin and Apple Butter Express for those of you craving originality. Cool covers of songs by artists like Pink Floyd, The Band, and even a Motown classic! Jeff Austin tears down a 23 minute version of “Rag Doll.” Heck, Sam Bush manages to slip The Allman Brothers and Rare Earth into an 18 minute set closing blow out!

North Carolina artists like Jon Stickley, The Honeycutters and Taylor Martin share the stages with local heroes like Apple Butter Express and many more. The entire weekend went off without a hitch. The sound was perfect, the sun was shining, and the players on the stages returned the energy from the fans in the stands a 110%. Del McCoury even caved to audience pleading and played his singular version of Richard Thompson’s “1952 Vincent Black Lightning” two days in a row!

All this and much more is contained in the exclusive clips below. Whether you were there to experience the magic first hand or just want to enjoy some incredible tunes by an amazing array of talents then check out the memories stored below and enjoy!
