Asheville based dance rock band The Fritz have announced a new album Natural Mind with the release of the video for the album’s single, “Stuck in Between.” Following the September 5th release of their album, The Fritz will hit the road for their most ambitious tour yet – hitting the East Coast hard.
The Fritz’s aggressive approach to funk, soul, and rock creates a sound that is uniquely their own with high-energy and danceable songs that provide a platform for each member to shine. With powerful vocals, climactic solos, and tight grooves, The Fritz has built a devoted following and is captivating audiences everywhere.
Produced by Turkuaz’s Dave Brandwein and recorded at More Sound Studios in Syracuse, NY, Natural Mind is the natural next step forward in the band’s evolution. While The Fritz has gained a reputation as a live act, their approach to the latest recording session involved writing all new material specifically arranged for the studio environment. The final product features a cohesive sound that has been years in the making.
The band’s music video debut features the energetic single “Stuck in Between.” Like their music, the video was a collaborative effort that provided an opportunity for the band to explore new creative possibilities. Directed by The Fritz’s guitarist Jamie Hendrickson and edited by drummer Michael Tillis, the video features close ups of all the band members, highlighting their individual personalities.
“We were really excited to make our first music video. It was cool to add a visual element to the music. The entire process was very enjoyable and we can’t wait to do it again,” says Hendrickson. “Stuck in Between is the first track on Natural Mind. It’s a fun song, but also addresses some complicated issues that we are all dealing with in one way or another. I think it sets the tone for the rest of the album,” says percussionist Mikey “Spice” Evans.

The Fritz is now taking the album and their unforgettable live performances on the road with the Natural Mind Tour. Starting in the southern US in September, the band will travel up the East Coast to New England and New York before returning to their Carolina roots and wrapping up the tour in Florida.
