If you have yet to hear the infectious tones of Brothers Gow, then you are certainly in for a treat. Hailing from San Diego, CA, this up and coming quintet is leading the jam band charge in Southern California with a superb blend of funk, jazz, and reggae influences. Growling vocals and fluid guitar melodies keep things groovy at every live performance.

We’re excited to share some pro-shot footage of the band’s “1975” medley from the recent Ocean Beach Street Fair, which includes tracks like Hot Chocolate’s “You Sexy Thing”, David Bowie’s “Fame”, and KC and the Sunshine Band’s “Get Down Tonight”. Get down below:

We asked the band to tell us a bit about the experience, and they said, “The Ocean Beach Street Fair is one of our favorites gigs all year. The crowd, the people and the fair itself, come together in our hometown of Ocean Beach and we couldn’t be more happy than to have played the headlining slot for our friends and fans. Having the Pacific Ocean as backdrop doesn’t hurt either.”

The concept for a 1975 medley actually came from a “time traveling” NYE show, in which the band performed various tunes from 1965, 1975, 1985, 1995, and 2005, followed by a brand new song in 2015. They also put together a time traveling band video to accompany the performance, which you can watch below:

With more than 500 shows under their belts, Brothers Gow continue to bring the heat at each performance. Since moving to San Diego, the group has developed a more dynamic sound, adding strong vocal harmonies and complex arrangements to their guitar-driven rock. Add to this mix an awe inspiring light show, and you have a recipe for a memorable concert experience.
