New Orleans funk outfit Earphunk have been making waves, slyly blending progressive funk elements to create music that’s both exciting and thoroughly danceable. L4LM is proud to premiere the band’s brand new single, “Omega.” Watch the video of the single below and download it for free via Soundcloud.

Recorded and filmed at The Parlor Recording Studio in New Orleans, “Omega” showcases the band’s compositional prowess, as the seven-plus-minute prog funk track seamlessly segues through various sections. Sometimes spacey, sometimes edgey – “Omega” takes on many moods, but never fails to keep you dancing!

Speaking about the track, guitarist Paul Provosty said, “I wanted to write something with a dark and ominous vibe to it. Something that really reels the listener in and keeps their attention the entire time. I think people will dig the interwoven instrumental parts. We spent a good bit of time making sure all of the instruments intertwine harmoniously throughout the tune. If you give the multiple spins, you will start hearing new parts with every listen.”

Be sure to catch Earphunk next Thursday, April 23rd, as they kick off Jazz Fest with a rager at The Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans, with support from The Naughty Professor. More information about that show can be found here.
