Mountain guitarist Leslie West knows a thing or two about rock and roll. As his song “Mississippi Queen” is one of the most sampled blues-rock riffs in all of music, West’s sheer tenacity and experience has paved the way for an exciting career. West returns with a new solo album, Soundcheck, on November 20th, and expectations are high for this exciting new jam.

In anticipation of Soundcheck, L4LM is excited to premiere the debut single from the album. Take a listen to “Left By The Roadside To Die” below:

There’s a reason that Leslie West continues to be revered as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. His melodic phrasing through a slow vibrato style inspired a generation of guitarists, big names like Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Warren Haynes, John McLaughlin and more. It’s no wonder that Leslie West has retained a vital following for fifty years!

The new album features guest spots from legends like Peter Frampton, Queen’s Brian May, ex-Jeff Beck keyboard virtuoso Max Middleton, vocalist extraordinaire Bonnie Bramlett and the late great Cream bassist, Jack Bruce. Soundcheck is out on November 20th, but pre-orders are available here!
