Eliot Lipp is back and he’s bringing all the vibey goodness with him. About to hit the road with Blockhead, he surprised us big time with a new track entitled “Take A Left.” The groove, hard as ever, inspires an extra pep in one’s step and as Lipp would describe it, keeps “the mainstream influence down to a minimum.”
Eliot’s refreshing new sound is heavily influenced by some of his favorite producers EL-P and DJ Premier. “Although they weren’t the first to use these samples, their influences resonate through new generations and other genres.” He continues, “The idea for this song came about when I found a cool sample of a man saying ‘Take A Left’. It’s about trusting the left-field sounds as a producer.”

Ready to hit the East Coast in March, Lipp looks forward to sharing the room with one of his favorites. “Blockhead played in Seattle about a year ago and I felt so at home amongst his crowd,” he tells us. “It’s inspiring to be around such a unique group of people all loving these instrumental grooves. I’ve been looking forward to doing some shows with him for a while. Musically, our live sets will compliment each others well.”
