When Railroad Earth announced in 2013 that they would be covering Old & In The Way’s eponymous album from 1973 at their annual Horn-O-Plenty Thanksgiving celebration with Peter Rowan, a member of the iconic band that also featured Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, John Kahn and Vassar Clements, needless to say, the RRE Hobo community was overjoyed.

For a band like RRE who features all the many shared folk, country and bluegrass elements that Old & In The Way did, this performance was sure to be one of the momentous of their career.
