New Year’s in New York City has become synonymous with The Disco Biscuits at Nokia….wait….Best Buy….err, we mean PlayStation Theater. Whether you’re ringing in 2016 with the Biscuits or popping over after another event like Phish at Madison Square Garden right down the block, the Biscuits have become known for playing for seemingly endless hours throughout the run, and will once again do so from December 30th – January 2nd. Each night except for New Year’s Eve will see doors open at 10 PM, while NYE will open up at 8 PM so fans can ring in the New Year properly, Bisco-style.

Top-notch openers have been announced for each evening. Horizon Wireless will get things going on 12/20, Consider the Source is set to kick things off on 12/31, Animus Rexx will start the party on 1/1 and finally, Soul Clap will create an epic dance party on 1/2. Moreover, the band have tacked on fun themes for each night, including a “Spin the Wheel” song choice set, a fan-curated setlist, and even a horn section.

Celebrating The Disco Biscuits’ New Years Run With Highlights From Biscuits Past

The band always goes the more interesting route with their sets during the holidays, whether it is playing Tchaikovsky‘s “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies”, or the now infamous Akira Jam at the TLA on 12/31/99 or The History of the Disco Biscuits set on 12/31/02 at the E-Factory. Or perhaps they will throw down a monster “I-Man” or epic inverted “Spraypaint”. Or maybe they will bust out a Tractorbeam set as they did last year, which had a ridiculous setlist of “”Ladies>Orch Theme>Tricycle>Ladies,” bookended by “Confrontation”. One way or the other, tDB always find a way to play Santa Claus and deliver the goodies to the Bisco faithful.
