Funk yeah! The Motet just wrapped up a major West Coast tour, winding through Colorado and the Pacific coast to close things out at the Independent in San Francisco, CA. For two nights, the venue was drenched in the funkiest vibes, thanks to the Colorado-based funk ensemble who are only poised to do things right in 2016. With new music and an upcoming headlining performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre coming this summer, it’s certainly a good time to be a fan of the Motet.

With Jans Ingber amicably leaving the band at the beginning of the year, the group called on vocalists Lyle Divinsky, Tanya Shylock, and Paul Creighton to keep the magic rocking throughout the show. The rotating cast did not disappoint, with each bringing their unique flavor to the funky ensemble.
