The music week started strong in South Florida with a huge performance from Thievery Corporation on Tuesday night at The Fillmore. The band’s 20+ year career has led them to perform some of the best venues around the world, leading up to a highly-anticipated night in Miami Beach. The electronically-driven, psychedelic trip-hop masters have congregated a rotating cast of eclectic musicians to blend their signature sounds into a full experience of dance-inspiring tradition.
Thievery Corporation captured their audience for sixteen songs in the first set, taking fans through a dedicated worldly exploration of their global roots. The band returned to the stage for a three part encore, ultimately concluding the night with their “Unified Tribes,” “Vampires,” and “Heaven’s Gonna Burn Your Eyes.”
