Today we present the premiere of The Vegabonds’ newest single. The Nashville-based “New South” rockers offer a compelling and rowdy cover of the Charlie Daniels Band tune, “Long Haired Country Boy.” With Grammy-nominated Tom Tapley in the producer seat (Elton John, Bruce Springsteen), it’s easy to get excited about this new music and what’s to come in 2018. The Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers x Allman Brothers Band sonic hybrid is expanding to new dimensions with this release, their first single since the 2016 record What We’re Made Of. If you’re interested in hearing more, there’s a chance The Vegabonds are coming to your part of the country this summer.

The Vegabonds inception came in 2009 when five college buddies in Auburn, Alabama fused their musical journeys together, rocking their Southern roots through college parties across the Southeastern Conference. Over the years, they’ve grown their fanbase across the U.S. and Europe. The Vegabonds’ devotion to their music and tireless tour schedule illustrates their laser-sharp focus on growing into one of the biggest names out of Nashville, while never forgetting where they came from.

Upon returning from their third European tour this summer, the band’s focus will be their new album, slated for release in early 2018. Until then, their latest single is now available on Spotify and iTunes- an anthemic cover of the Charlie Daniels Band’s classic “Long Haired Country Boy.” Live For Live Music is excited to share the single below:

Between the tour stops that span thousands of miles and the countless hours spent honing their craft of a unique sound, The Vegabonds are a group not to miss. Even with their burgeoning success, The Vegabonds still remain true to their roots, remembering where they came from, all while doing what they love.
