After touring extensively throughout 2016 in support of their new album Labor Of Love, soulful string-led quintet Fruition returned to their hometown of Portland, Oregon with three nights at Wonder Ballroom. The band came out swinging on night one, catching the Portland crowd up on the fine-tuned live chops they’ve been cultivating on the road.

Live For Live Music and Fruition are excited to premiere the full pro-shot video of the band’s 12/29/16 performance at Wonder Ballroom as a song-by-song video playlist, courtesy of Mark Burgin at Mark’s Memories:

“Thursday night of our NYE run was rad,” says vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and piano player Kellen Asebroek, “We tried to give people the kind of fiery show that we’ve been crafting on the road these last few years; showcasing newer material, paying close attention to the flow of the setlist, and making sure people get all the bang for their buck.”

Continues Asebroek, “It was also wonderful because we had seriously badass guest musicians that night, and opened up the Wonder Ballroom to an all ages crowd – which we’ve never done there before.” The guests musicians included fellow Portland-based artists Scott Pemberton (guitar), Farnell Newton (horns), Kyle Molitor (Trombone), and Steve Swatkins (keys), contributed to the show’s hometown vibe.
