My Morning Jacket have worked hard to cement themselves as one of the best live rock bands living today. They put their heart and soul into each performance, with frontman Jim James leading the way with his passionate singing and guitar playing. Drummer Patrick Hallahan is a beast behind the kit, pounding away furiously to help build the band’s sound, and guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Carl Broemel delivers incredible performances on a nightly basis. The band constantly turn in classic performances, and their legend on the live circuit grows with each show.

This past May, the Jacket hit Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater for a two-night run that saw the band showcase their other-worldly talent as a live band. They performed two nights without repeating any songs, digging deep into their catalog of material and covers to provide a special weekend for their dedicated fans. The band performed twenty-seven songs at each show, with night one featuring classic material like “Outta My System”, “Touch Me I’m Going To Scream” parts I and II, “Mahgeetah”, and a note-perfect cover of Prince‘s “Purple Rain, while night two saw the band perform “It Beats 4 U”, “Lay Low”, “Gideon”, and a slew of older material with original guitar player Johnny Quaid joining the band. It was a celebratory weekend for sure, and one that fans and the band won’t soon forget

My Morning Jacket will perform a special late-night headlining set on Friday night at the upcoming Suwanee Hulaween. If the band’s performance at Red Rocks and their subsequent triumph at Lockn’ Festival are any indication, fans at Hulaween should be very excited!
