2016 is shaping up to be a major year for Wobblesauce. The Boston-based livetronica group is planning to release their first full-length studio album this year, the culmination of the band’s tight musicianship, persistent performance schedule, and musical innovation.

To get just a small sampling of what’s to come, Wobblesauce has graced us with a teaser leading single from the new, as-of-now-untitled album. While the full release won’t be available until the spring, you can stream the track “Highway Hypnosis” below. The track features a lush synthesizer soundscape, a pulsing rhythm and bass section, and killer guitarwork to kick into high gear.

Stream it below:

Wobblesauce is made up of Michael McCarthy (Keys, Synths, Production), Jake Boynton (Bass), Michael Hallock (Guitar), and Kyle Ruggieri (Drums). By bringing Hallock into the lineup last year, Wobblesauce has expanded their repertoire and continues to press the envelope. Merging jazz, funk, metal, electronica and more, the band puts out a unique vibe and has continued to see steady support from the scene.

With all that in mind, it’s no wonder they accompanied Ozric Tentacles on their recent fall tour. They’ve also collaborated with some big names in the game, including Billy Martin (MMW), Congo Sanchez (Thievery Corporation), Michael Travis and Jason Hann (SCI/EOTO), and opened up for Skrillex, Beats Antique, Rubblebucket, Dopapod, Papadosio and more!
