42 Years Later, Frank Zappa's 'Roxy - The Movie' Has A Release Date

Fans of Frank Zappa have been pining for a video release of the beloved musician’s three-night stand at the Roxy in Los Angeles, CA for decades. The run, which spanned from December 8-10, 1973, is considered one of Zappa’s finest live showcases in his storied career.

Since Zappa’s son Ahmet Zappa announced that he would be taking over the Family Trust vault a few weeks ago, fans have been eagerly waiting to hear what material may be released. It seems that Roxy – The Movie will be the first of such projects, with a tentative release date of October 30th.
