As previously announced, Lettuce is teaming up with TAUK for a two-night New Year’s Eve celebration. December 30th will be spent at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, before the two bands head to House of Blues in Boston for the ultimate event. There, they will be joined by experimental beat-makers Jaw Gems to close out 2016 and enter 2017 with a bang.
Today, the party strengthens with the addition of vocalist Antwaun Stanley, known for his frontman wonders with Vulfpeck in hits like “Funky Duck” and “1612”, to join Lettuce for their set. The primarily instrumental funk band serves as a revolving door for some of the best vocalists in the scene. With Nigel Hall and Alecia Chakour standing as nearly-permanent members in the family-style band, Stanley will be an exciting addition to the mix.
