Reunited for the first time since 2011, Col. Bruce Hampton, Oteil Burbridge, Jimmy Herring, Jeff Sipe, and Matt Slocum joined forces at the Ram’s Head Live venue for a set as the Aquarium Rescue Unit. The famed band, which helped launch the H.O.R.D.E. Festival and the careers of bands like Phish and Widespread Panic, delivered a memorable set that even included some guest work from John McLaughlin.

The band dove into the old classics, playing tunes like “Compared to What,” “Basically Frightened,” and “Time is Free,” amongst many others. The special performance was part of the 30th anniversary celebration for PRS Guitars, and PRS himself (Paul Reed Smith) sat in for a joyous cover of “Lovelight.” You can download the whole reunion show here, or check out a couple of fan-shot videos, courtesy of user Michael McMahon:

The Aquarium Rescue Unit will continue their reunion with a tour later on this summer, beginning on July 29th in Colorado and wrapping up at the Brooklyn Bowl on August 16th. For more information, head here.
