With Phish heading to New York, NY for four nights of mayhem, the Big Apple quickly becomes a paradise for all things live music. With fans coming into town from all across the country, incredibly talented musicians are at the ready to offer up some serious jams for your late night fixes. Today, we’re honored to announce one of these exciting performances, as both Aqueous and Mungion are teaming up for a jam-centric performance at DROM in New York, NY, just a short distance from the Phish shows at MSG. Tickets are on sale now and available here.

Aqueous has emerged as one of the powerhouse jam bands of the younger generation. Hailing from Buffalo, NY, the group infuses rock stylings with meaningful lyrics and crafty songwriting. Their sound is wholly unique, backed by the dual guitar approach of David Loss and Mike Gantzer and the rhythm section of bassist Evan McPhaden and drummer Rob Houk. With their new EP Best In Show just released last week, expect this performance to be a fresh take to keep you dancing well into the night.

Watch Aqueous let loose on a great version of their original song “Warren In The Window,” below.

Providing support for the night will be Chicago-based prog jam outfit Mungion, who show off an impressive blend of influences in every song. Progressive is the name of the game for Mungion, as this group tightly winds elements of jazz and funk into creative compositions. Each song from Mungion is a journey unto itself, and it all comes together when this explosive four-piece takes the stage. You won’t want to miss their set, as it’s sure to blow you away!

Watch Mungion’s live in-studio video for their song “Sloob Syndrome,” below.

Both of these bands will take the stage at NYC’s DROM on December 28th, with doors opening at 11pm and the show starting at 12am. This will be a late night rager for the books, so don’t miss out! You can find tickets here, and get the full show information on the poster below.
