It’s a simple formula. A room full of people act natural while one guy in a mask dances to Baauer’s ‘Harlem Shake’. When the song hits the drop, the entire room goes bat shit crazy. A few days ago, YouTube user DizastaMusic, aka Filthy Frank, posted a video of a bunch of guys in wacky costumes rocking out to ‘Harlem Shake’ – but it was really YouTube user TheSunnyCoastSkate who pioneered the whole ‘freak out’ routine, which has spawned countless imitators. While this will get played out real soon, for now it’s pretty amazing.

Needless to say, a week from now, people will be Harlem Shaking on Ellen and Good Morning America, your mom will send you the video, and it will all be dead. Check out the videos before this becomes Gangam Style.
