Last night Bernie Sanders presidential candidacy came to a virtual tie with fellow candidate Hillary Clinton. This is a huge step in the right direction for Bern-ers and the taste of victory is one we can all feel. With the results still coming in, Sanders delivered a speech in Des Moines to thank supporters and recapitulate the promises he has made for the United States of America. At the end of the speech, in a roar of applause, played David Bowie‘s “Starman” as Bernie Sanders victoriously exited the stage – like a boss. 

His support from the music scene is becoming a widespread phenomenon, as we saw him sing “This Land Is Your Land” with Vampire Weekend earlier this week, following endorsements from Art Garfunkel and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, who will be headlining a benefit concert for the presidential candidate on February 5th in Los Angeles, CA.
