There is some unfortunate news to share about funk legend Bernie Worrell, as his wife continues to update on his health status via social media. Worrell was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer in an announcement that was shared earlier this year, and has been collecting funds in hopes of releasing one final album.
Throughout the year, Worrell’s condition has only worsened, though he has made a handful of appearances at performances. There was even a benefit concert thrown in his honor, called “All The Woo In The World.” Unfortunately, though many have sent their support through any means possible, it seems that Worrell is in his final days.
