Bill Kreutzmann has announced the return of Billy & The Kids, the elite band that includes Kreutzmann, Aron Magner (Disco Biscuits), Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green) and Tom Hamilton (Brothers Past/American Babies/JRAD). The group will play a pre-party at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC on May 13th, the day before the “Dear Jerry” tribute show at the Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Billy & The Kids most recently performed at The Capitol Theatre, playing a “Europe Seventy 2.0” set with Robert Randolph as a guest musician. The pre-party show promises special guests and psychedelic jams, the makings of a great night of music. Meanwhile, Kreutzmann and Magner will be reunited this weekend, when The Disco Biscuits play a set at Red Rocks Amphitheatre with Grateful Dead drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart.

Billy & The Kids will be performing at the “Dear Jerry” show as well. Tickets for that performance are sold out.

Tickets for the pre-party show are currently on sale.
