Bob Weir is back! In what may very well be his first extended appearance since last year’s tour cancellation, Weir made a surprise appearance with Lukas Nelson, son of Willie Nelson, at Sweetwater Music Hall last night. In what was a benefit for Music Heals International, Weir and Nelson played a total of five songs together.
Weir has performed a handful of times since cancelling his tour last summer, including a guest spot with John Oates at Sweetwater and a jam with John Mayer on The Late, Late Show. This set, however, exceeded the others in length, and placed the focus on Weir and his abilities to sing and play guitar.
