(Photos By Corey Regensburger) An unseasonable cold Thursday November 20, 2014 was pleasantly warmed up, as John Butler Trio took the stage at the legendry Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. As a[...]
Bear Creek is widely known as a truly unique and special festival community. There is a reason people tend to go back year after year, and we found this to be highly justified. First and foremost, it [...]
Booka Shade To Bring New Tracks To Irving Plaza, 3/19
Even though German house duo Booka Shade keep an insane touring schedule, it feels as if they do not not visit New York City quite enough. The Get Physical Music co-founders will perform at Irving Plaza on March 19th, and they have some new tracks to show off. The duo recently released the Haleshop EP exclusively on vinyl, so you can be sure to get a taste of the latest music to come out of Germany.
Booka Shade have dominated the Frankfurt electronic music scene creating melodic deep house tracks with catchy synths and rocking festival stages and clubs around the world. Their live show is so diverse and different that they were recently named by Resident Advisor to be one of the top 5 live acts in the world. It's really hard to pin down Booka Shade's music style – they draw from so many different influences, creating essentially pure dance music.
As producers, Booka Shade have been tapped to work with a variety of huge names – Kings Of Leon, Depeche Mode, Moby, and Hot Chip, to name a few. Get Physical Music, which was co-founded along with producer M.A.N.D.Y and DJ T, has been one of the leading dance music labels in Berlin, releasing Booka Shade's highly successful albums along with a series of highly caught after DJ mixes.
Booka Shade tickets go on sale on February 15th at 10am, and are available now here.

As far as top tier classic rock bands go, the diversity of The Who's catalog often seems to be forgotten. While tracks like “Baba O’Riley” and “My Generation” get played on the radio, modern [...]
