Brooklyn Comes Alive recently announced its massive artist lineup, with over 100 artists slated to perform 35+ sets across two days in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This year, the event is expanding to two days, September 23rd and 24th, and will take over three of Brooklyn’s premier venues—Brooklyn BowlThe Hall at MP, and Music Hall of Williamsburg—all within a 10-minute walking radius. Fans’ imaginations have been running wild dreaming up what band lineups may be formed from the extensive roster of musicians. The guessing game is always one of the most fun parts of the Brooklyn Comes Alive experience, but today we’re ready to roll out some more surprises.

Today, following the previous announcements of “The Road Goes On Forever: Celebrating The Music Of The Allman Brothers Band” and A Tribute To JamiroquaiBrooklyn Comes Alive reports that world-renowned guitarist Eric Krasno will lead an incredible group of talent for a special Eric Krasno & Friends set.

Krasno is no stranger to Brooklyn Comes Alive, having helped to curate the festival’s lineup in its first year. Now, Kraz is set to return to Williamsburg two years later with an all-star cast of musical friends by his side. Serving as the focal point of the collaboration, iconic jazz-fusion guitarist John Scofield will link up with Kraz to form a dual-guitar attack for the ages.

Cyril Neville, famed percussionist/vocalist from The Meters and The Neville Brothers, will bring his New Orleans elder statesman presence to Brooklyn for the performance, sharing percussion duties with Louis Cato of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert house band Stay Human. Renowned bassist Chris Loftlin will hold down the bass duties, and Krasno’s Lettuce teammate and frequent collaborator Nigel Hall will add keyboards and his signature vocals. Finally, NOLA royalty and The Meters bassist/vocalist George Porter Jr. will be on hand to add to the madness as a special guest during this landmark gathering of funk icons.
