Historic Monterey County Fair and Event Center will play host to the 7th annual California Roots Music And Arts Festival from May 27-29, 2016, bringing together a progressive and eclectic cast of musicians showcasing the American reggae and roots movement.
2015’s festival blowout saw the likes of The Roots, Cypress Hill, G. Love, John Butler Trio, SOJA, Steel Pulse, and Collie Buddz headline the festival, while next year’s lineup is setting up to be just as exciting with the announcement of the festival’s first phase of artists today.
California Roots Festival Channels The Monterey Pop Spirit
Spearheaded by Rebelution and Tribal Seeds, the festival lineup has California Roots co-producer Dan Sheehan very exctied. He says, “We take pride in supporting the artists that come up alongside our festival and love helping breaking bands to a wider audience. As our stateside scene grows, we also want to highlight international acts. Debuting an artist like Gondwana from Santiago, Chile, who has an amazing worldwide fanbase, reaffirms that the ‘California Roots’ vibe stretches far past the state’s border uniting kindred spirits worldwide.”
Limited early bird 3-day tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 10 AM and can be found here. The second phase of artists will be rolled out on November 13th.
