Daft Punk Announces ‘Alive 1997’ and ‘Alive 2007’ Vinyl Releases

Daft Punk has announced that they will release two of their pivotal live albums, Alive 1997 and Alive 2007, on vinyl. This marks the first time that Alive 2007 will be available in the record format.

Alive 2007 features the electronic duo’s performance in Paris, FR, eventually winning Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best Dance Recording (for “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”) at the 2009 Grammy’s. Meanwhile, Alive 1997 was recorded in Birmingham, and was released in 2001.

Modern Vinyl reports that the two vinyl releases will be available both independently, and as a limited edition deluxe release with a 52-page booklet. According to that article, the albums will be available on December 19th.
