D’Angelico Creates Unique Dead & Company Guitars To Be Auctioned For Charity

Beloved Grateful Dead tribute Dead & Company has not only impressed us on stage, but continues to do so off the stage as well. The group donated to LGBT rights activist groups after a performance in North Carolina, and has hosted a “Participation Row” charity celebration at each of their many summer tour stops.

Today, the band has partnered with D’Angelico Guitars to take that charity effort to the next level, creating custom guitars for the band, as well as for a handful of major stops along the tour. The unique guitars are hand painted ang signed by the entire band, and will be auctioned at specific stops on the tour: Citi Field in New York (June 25 & 26), Folsom Field in Boulder, CO (July 2 & 3), Alpine Valley in Elkhorn, Wisconsin (July 9 & 10) and Fenway Park in Boston (July 15 & 16).

The funds will then go towards the 10-15 charities at each Participation Row, furthering a number of important causes near and dear to our hearts. Participation Row is organized by HeadCount and REVERB, each of which is founded for an incredible cause. The full gallery of guitars and signings can be seen here.
