Iconic singer/songwriter David Bowie has a new album coming out on January 8, ★ (pronounced Blackstar), and has now shared a new single entitled “Lazarus,” also the title track to Bowie’s recent stage production of Lazarus starring Michael C. Hall. The Times in London claims Blackstar “may be the oddest work yet from [Bowie].” Bowie had previously released the full version of the title track to the album “Blackstar” back in September, which you can listen to here.
The dark and mellowing mood of “Lazarus” is perfect for Bowie’s still sultry vocals. The inclusion of a horn section takes the track to an entire different level with a soaring finish. Take a listen below:
