David Bowie’s Former Bandmates Come Together For Tribute Performance In NYC [Videos/Photos]

Last night, a troupe of former David Bowie bandmates joined forces for a special tribute to the Starman, which was held at NYC’s Terminal 5 on the one year anniversary of his passing. Bowie’s far-reaching legacy touched so many, and it was heartwarming to see an enormous cast of musicians uniting in his honor.

The backing band for the night included a number of Bowie collaborators and associates, including guitarist Earl Slick, guitarist Adrian Belew (of King Crimson fame), pianist Mark Garson, bassist Gail Ann Dorsy and singers Catherine Russell and Holly Palmer. They were joined by a number of vocalists throughout the show as well, including Gary Oldman, Bernard Fowler, Mr Hudson, Angelo Moore, Gaby Moreno, Joe Sumner, Darren Criss (Glee), Kate Pierson (The B-52s), Emm Gryner, and Living Colour, as well as a few other musicians.

Together they performed an incredible array of Bowie’s songs, including big hits and rarities. Check out two videos from the show’s encore, including “All The Young Dudes” and “Under Pressure”, sung by Mr Hudson and Catherine Russell & Joe Sumner, respectively.
