Karl Denson is a Jazz Fest icon. His late-night shows in New Orleans always bring the heat, and you never know who might join him when he and his Tiny Universe take the stage during one of their infamous late night performances. This year, Denson will bring his brand of power-funk to One Eyed Jacks on Saturday, April 29th for a memorable weekend 1 show, and he’s just announced the addition of local saxophone legend Donald Harrison as a special guest for the performance.

Harrison, who’s known as the “King of Nouveau Swing,” is more known in jazz circles for combining traditional New Orleans music with R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, and Rock. His addition to this show should leave brass fans salivating, as two of the most innovative and talented saxophonists will hit the stage together for a unique pairing that will inevitably make for a memorable night. Denson often throws fun covers into his set, so we can only imagine what surprises are in store when Harrison and Denson combine forces.
