Last weekend, Pink Talking Fish played a private engagement at The Great Divide Campground that turned into a wild affair! With guitarist Dave Brunyak unable to make the show, Dopapod guitarist Rob Compa filled in on the lead instrument, jamming along on the Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish classics with a passion.

Compa was treated to quite the experience, as the show proved to be one of the band’s more wild performances. The owner of the campgroup placed a giant gorilla statue behind the band during “Crosseyed and Painless” in the second set, so naturally the band took the opportunity to get psychedelic with a version of Phish’s “Kung,” which naturally become “Kong” in honor of the statue. They also went into Pink Floyd’s obscure Ummagumma track “Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict,” again referencing the giant gorilla. The band picked back up into “Crosseyed” and rocked hard for the remainder of the set.

Check out some footage from the show, as provided by the band.

Pink Talking Fish has a number of exciting plays coming up this summer, including some post-Phish after parties in Chicago and Saratoga, as well as some great cruises in the NYC area on July 8th. Check out all the information you’d need for any of these shows via the band’s website.
