Widespread Panic has announced the temporary replacement of longtime drummer Todd Nance, who will be missing the band’s fall tour to attend to personal matters. In his stead, WSP has asked Duane Trucks, younger brother of Derek Trucks, to fill in behind the kit.

Duane Trucks is the drummer for the band Hard Working Americans, which also features WSP bassist Dave Schools. Check out our review of their eponymous, debut album here.

Nance co-founded WSP back in 1986, and L4LM wishes him all the best. Panic’s tour kicks off tomorrow, October 3rd, for two nights in Charleston, SC.
