The Beatles have really seen it all. Their music has come to define a generation, symbolically capturing the spirit of an entire era while simultaneously influencing just about all genres of modern music. Now, the beloved band will set the theme for an upcoming Netflix original series entitled Beat Bugs.
The show is slated to feature over 50 Beatles songs, as interpreted by modern musicians. Among those covers are Eddie Vedder’s “Magical Mystery Tour,” P!nk‘s “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,” Sia’s “Blackbird,” Chris Cornell’s “Drive My Car,” and an unnamed covers by The Shins, Of Monsters and Men, James Bay, Regina Spektor, and James Corden, presumably among many more.
The series itself will focus on a handful of insect friends and their zany adventures. The uplifting stories will weave in the covers, creating content that both children and adults can enjoy! The series is due out in August of 2016, and we can’t wait.
