The Flaming Lips is releasing a new album, Oczy Mlody, due out January 13th. The psychedelic rock band hasn’t released a full length album since their 2014 Beatles tribute, With A Little Help From My Fwends, and hasn’t released original music since The Terror in 2013. So the coming of Wayne Coyne and company’s new project is that much more exciting. So far, they’ve released “The Castle” and “How??”, and today share a third song, “Sunrise (Eyes of the Young)”.
You might recognize the song from Miley Cyrus‘s 2015 surprise album that featured The Flaming Lips as her Dead Petz. The song, “The Floyd Song (Sunrise)” was written in memory of her huskey Floyd that passed away earlier that year.
