After the “Fare Thee Well” Grateful Dead reunion shows announced that their mail order system was overwhelmed with over 60,000 ticket requests, the rejection letters began slowly trickling in. People posted pictures of their dreaded “Thank you for keeping the spirit of the Grateful Dead alive” letters, disappointed that their decorated envelopes were not well-received by the GDTS TOO crew.

One fan took his frustration to the next level. Starting the listing at $14.20, the seller listed his “original” Grateful Dead rejection letter on eBay. The funny thing is, there are already three bids! They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure…

Here’s the description from the eBay listing, which, while stated plainly, seems to have an underlying tone of frustration.

I decorated my envelope, filled out my 3 x 5 card, sent in all my $$ orders, and instead of tickets, I got this letter.
Here is your chance to own it.  I will not ask why.
This is the actual letter, not a copy.

Best of luck to everyone who still has mail order requests out there!
