Joe Russo’s Almost Dead hosted a rockin’ three-night run at the Brooklyn Bowl over the weekend, celebrating the Freaks Ball with some great performances. By the end of it, they even had promoter and club-owner Peter Shapiro officially inducting them as Knights of the Bowl in a crowd-wide ceremony.

The first night of music featured some unexpected twists from Almost Dead, including their first-ever cover of “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed” by the Allman Brothers Band as well as a debut of Father John Misty’s “I’m Writing A Novel.” The second night welcomed a full horn section for another spectacular night of music, and the third night had Katie Jacoby on the violin. With several debuts over the weekend, Brooklyn Bowl’s finest Freaks walked away with smiles ear-to-ear, knowing full well that Joe Russo’s Almost Dead is among the leading bands in the scene right now.

Thanks to the fine folks over at WMWV Radio, we have full audio from all three nights of the epic weekend.  Enjoy!
