Naughty Professor are extending their fall tour with six additional dates in the northeast. The New Orleans based future-funk collective, known for their traditionally instrumental sets, is teaming up with legendary hip-hop artist Chali 2na of Jurassic 5 to showcase some of their recent studio work. After performing in New Orleans together multiple times and collaborating on Naughty P’s upcoming record, the two acts will take their collaborative headlining show on the road this October for six nights only.
Kicking things off on October 12 at The Hamilton in Washington DC and closing out at the Leaf Festival in Black Mountain, North Carolina, the tour will also touch down at the Ardmore Music Hall in Philadelphia, the James Street Gastropub in Pittsburgh, the Iron Works in Buffalo, and the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York.
If you haven’t seen them before, now is the chance to experience the Big Easy’s jazz-infused party culture that flows from Naughty Professor. These shows will be the perfect showcase to the constantly evolving, high-energy funk/soul outfit before they fully switch gears to their forthcoming studio album, which features David Shaw (The Revivalists), Chali 2na, Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk) and many other talented musicians, expected in early 2017.
