Damon Albarn may have just earned himself the title of most dedicated performer (though Dave Grohl’s performance after breaking his leg makes him a contender as well).
The Blur and Gorillaz songwriter was performing with his side project, the collective Africa Express, at a festival in Denmark, when he just wouldn’t leave the stage. The band played a five-hour-long set that lasted through 4 AM, breaking their curfew and then some!
Even though Albarn was well over his allotted time, the festival let him keep going, until they decided enough was enough. After asking him to leave the stage, security stepped in and physically carried him away.
