On May 13th, Rhino Records is releasing July 1978: The Complete Recordings, a 12-CD box set chronicling five shows during a prime era of the Grateful Dead’s career. In anticipation of that release, the band has shared one such recording: a version of “Ramble On Rose” from Red Rocks Amphitheatre, played on 7/8/78.

The full box set contains shows from July 1st through the 8th, including Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO on July 1st, St. Paul Civic Center in St. Paul, MN on July 3rd, Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, NE on July 5th, all leading up to two nights at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO, on July 7th and 8th. These shows were taped by Betty Cantor-Jackson, and copies of the box set will be limited to 15,000.
