With a new box set coming out next week, the Grateful Dead continue to share pristine recordings from shows in the early July of 1978. Titled July 1978: The Complete Recordings, the new 12-disc set spans a five-night run of shows between July 1-8, with sets at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO on July 1st, St. Paul Civic Center in St. Paul, MN on July 3rd, Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, NE on July 5th, all leading up to two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, on July 7th and 8th.

The new box set is something to be treasured, as these shows were taped by Betty Cantor-Jackson, and only 15,000 copies will be available. To get fans in the groove, the Dead have been sharing a handful of selections from the release. Earlier this week, it was “Ramble On Rose” from Red Rocks; today, it’s “Samson And Delilah” from Omaha, on July 5th.

Thanks to NPR Music, we now have a great “Samson And Delilah” to share. Tune in below:

July 1978: The Complete Recordings is due out on May 13th via Rhino Records.
