Legendary blues-rock musician Gregg Allman checked himself into a hospital on Monday, cancelling a string of scheduled performances in the Pacific Northwest this week. While no details were given regarding Allman’s illness, this is the latest episode in a series of health-related cancellations.

Allman missed a handful of shows during the band’s annual extended run at the Beacon Theatre in March, causing the band to postpone some of their performances until October. Then, the pianist suffered from bronchitis and a broken wrist.

Representatives for Allman did offer to reschedule his appearance at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland, Oregon, but only time will tell if this happens. Allman’s performance there was the headlining act for Sunday night of a four-day July 4th festival at the Waterfront, which is raising money for the Oregon Food Bank. Instead, local musician Curtis Salgado will be filling in for Allman.

L4LM wishes Gregg Allman a speedy recovery.
