Ivan Neville’s solo piano sets in the luxurious Atrium room on Jam Cruise have come to be a highly anticipated staple of the sea-bound fest. With just about every influential funk artist on the lineup, fans aboard the boat are constantly treated to once in a lifetime sit-ins and collaborations, but there’s something particularly special about the Dumpstaphunk piano man’s deeply soulful playing and singing that nearly brings everyone to tears.

The Sunday evening set closed with a heartfelt cover of Don Henley’s (Eagles) “The Boys of Summer” featuring a sit-in from Eric Krasno (Soulive/Lettuce), followed by a truly spectacular rendition of “Joy Inside My Tears”. The Stevie Wonder classic welcomed an all-star lineup including Trombone Shorty, Cory Henry (Snarky Puppy), Stanton Moore (Galactic), Karl Denson, Nigel Hall, Nick Daniels (Dumpstaphunk), Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce), and more.
