The Tedeschi Trucks Band brought their soulful sound to The Beacon Theatre last weekend, playing the final two shows of a four-show run on September 26th and 27th. As is typical, TTB brought out a number of revered guests throughout the two nights of music.

On Friday night, the 26th, TTB called on Jackie Greene to get things done, who performed on the organ for “Loan Me A Dime” before jumping on the harmonica for “You Got The Silver,” a Rolling Stones cover. Finally, Greene played some guitar later in the night, for a rendition of John Prine’s “Angel From Montgomery,” which briefly teased the Grateful Dead classic, “Sugaree.”

On September 27th, TTB brought out a whole cast of musicians, including Eric Krasno, Alecia Chakour, and The Shady Horns. Adding to TTB’s already rich sound (they’re an 11-piece band), the four guests appeared for covers periodically throughout the performance, including “Keep On Growing” (Derek and the Dominoes), “Wah-Wah” (George Harrison), and “Fire and Rain” (James Taylor).
