Lollapalooza is taking over Grant Park in Chicago for the 25th year this weekend, and despite some initial rain, festival-goers have been enjoying themselves with the sounds of Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, and more. Saturday night was particularly special on the Samsung stage, with Jane’s Addiction welcoming members of Rage Against The Machine and Smashing Pumpkins to the stage, followed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers who played tribute to Jane’s Addiction among many other of their greatest hits.

From beginning to end, Jane’s Addiction performed their 1990 record Ritual De Lo Habitual, followed by career-spanning four-song closer featuring some fellow rockers that had the fields pulsing with excitement. RATM guitarist Tom Morello joined in for a righteous “Mountain Song” and Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin closed the set for a crowd-singing “Jane Says”, setting the tone for a seriously heavy night of rock and roll. Complete with suspended dancers, raunchy outfits, and plenty of pleather. Check out some fan-shot footage below!

Closing out the Samsung stage was the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who covered “I Would For You” as a nod of appreciation to frontman Perry Farrell who is also a founder of the Chicago festival. Their 18-song set featured all the best hits, including “Can’t Stop”, “Scar Tissue”, “Snow (Hey Oh)”, “Blood Sugar Sex Magik”, and plenty more.
