Last weekMy Morning Jacket frontman Jim James appeared on the national radio show A Prairie Home Companion. James joined host Chris Thile at St. Paul, Minnesota’s Fitzgerald Theatre multiple times during the two-hour show. Across his appearances, James performed solo renditions of New Multitudes’ “Changing World,” Quincy Jones’ “Everything Must Change,” James’ own “Here In Spirit,” and My Morning Jacket’s “Wonderful.” He also joined Thile, Sara WatkinsRichard Dworsky, and The Show Band at the end of the show to cover Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” as a tribute to the late Chris Cornell, who died unexpectedly last week.
