On Friday, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead released their 96th edition of Rad Tracks, with this latest video featuring pro-shot video of their rendition of “Cumberland Blues” from their performance at The Capitol Theatre on December 30th, 2016. That night’s performance at The Capitol Theatre kicked off their two-night run at the historic Port Chester, New York venue following a show at Brooklyn Bowl the night prior. With the group properly primed ahead of their New Year’s performance, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s tore through the show. “Cumberland Blues” was featured at the center of the first set following “Feels Like A Stranger,” and throughout the eighteen-minute song, keyboard extraordinaire Marco Benevento heavily teases the previous tune. Eventually, the band moves into a full-blown “Turn On Your Lovelight” jam before moving into “The Stranger (Two Souls in Communion),” which featured Alecia Chakour of Tedeschi Trucks Band on vocals.
