On Saturday, April 29th, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead is scheduled to make their headlining debut at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside of Denver, Colorado, sharing the bill with Medeski, Martin, & Wood. Unfortunately, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead just issued an announcement saying they’re considering indoor options for their Saturday show as the forecast for the weekend continues to look bleaker and bleaker—at this point in time, the forecast for Morrison, the town where Red Rocks is located, predicts a high of 39° degrees and a low of 27 °, with five to eight inches of snow accumulating during the day of their performance. If the show does get moved to a new location, a top contender that could accommodate the Red Rocks-sized audience is the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, which would be the group’s debut headlining arena show, though certainly not the same.

In a statement issued on Facebook, the group acknowledged that “a lot people are traveling out to Colorado” and confirmed “we are definitely playing 2 shows this weekend,” with the second show falling on Friday, the night before their scheduled Red Rocks performance, indoors at the Odgen Theatre in Denver proper. We’re sure that the band is just as bummed as their fans about these weather conditions, so keep your fingers crossed that the storm rolling into Denver over the next few days blows over.
