Joel Cummins of Umphrey’s McGee will perform a solo improvisational piano set prior to the Everyone Orchestra show at The Cutting Room in NYC this Saturday. Everyone Orchestra has an ever evolving round of musicians at each show, and this one is guaranteed to be extra special.  Saturday’s performance should be one of the best line-ups to date, featuring Matt Butler conducting as always.

Along with Cummins, EO will also feature Adam “Schmeeans” Smirnoff of Lettuce, Ashish Vyas of Thievery Corp., Jen Hartswick, Natalie Cressman and Russ Lawton of Trey Anastasio Band, and Cris Jacobs of The Bridge.

Talking about the show, Cummins stated, “When the chance to play an acoustic piano comes up, it always takes me back to my roots.  In the spirit of Everyone Orchestra, I’ll be opening for the EO in NYC on Saturday with a short set of improvisational solo piano and perhaps an Umphrey’s McGee song or two. Can’t wait to play for you New York!”

Tickets are available now at The Cutting Room. This is a show not to miss.Â
