Deep down in Nashville, Dead & Company delivered a grooving performance last night. The band stuck to familiar territory for the majority of the show, bringing out a classic “Truckin'” to get things rocking hard from the get-go.

The show included some gems along the way, including “West LA Fadeaway” and “Deal” in the first set, and a monster second set that jammed from “Estimated” to “Viola Lee” through “Drums,” “Space,” “Stella Blue,” “China Cat Sunflower,” and “I Know You Rider.”

Dead & Company closed the performance with their first-ever cover of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode.” A staple in the Grateful Dead repertoire, John Mayer was aptly named for the selection, as his soulful blues guitar style was a perfect match for the rocker.
